Fuel cut or ignition cut at 9psi boost???

Post by 4cefedtiburon »

I currently am running Msv3 board with MSNSE code with 2nd vb921 running stock coil packs On a mitsu eclipse 4g63. My problem is at 9lbs Its like I hit a fuel cut the car falls flat on its face just cuts out. once boost drops to around 7 it kicks back and runs till 9 again. I have checked my overboost protection and it is set for 23psi. It is not rpm related I have checked that so it is boost related. My fuel map seems good Im running around 13.5:1 when this happens and ignition is seemingly ok no abrupt changes in ignition timing. Is there another setting I am missing? or I have dataloged this and can somone look at my XLS file??? THank you.

Try changing your plugs...Just get a set of normal copper core plugs. A guy around my area was having a similar problem with the MS and it turn out to be freaking spark plugs.

Also, is the unti resetting? If you have a loose power or ground, the accleration could touch the wire just right so that it loses connection.

Is it running stock ignition? Or is the MS controlling it. I was having all sorts of porblems with my ignition with the MS contorolling it, ended up being the dwell ans spark duration was way off.

Can you turn the fuel mixture a little richer? I would be shooting for 13:1 around 9psi, and 12.5-12.8 around 15psi.
