AE was kicking my butt while my car was still running, but we changed a couple things on my setup so i'll have to retune everything anyway. I couldn't figure out where to put the slider (MS2), or the tpsDot. I think what ended up happening is we were dumping too much fuel in, and it was totally killing the spark, so it showed up as totally lean.
:-/
I didn't have this much trouble tuning AE on the ms1, for some reason it's harder now..

so...lean conditions could be caused by

a> too much fuel "blowing" out the spark
b> not enough fuel... making it lean under the spikes from accel
c> an ignition MISS ?

my car had ignition problems before, i think mostly cause i had the dwell at 3.5 or 3.8 not knowing what i was doing... i changed teh vb921 and set teh accel dwell to .8 and the dwell to 2.5ms... helped alot...

recently ive been still getting misses under accel, its good news to hear about this lean condition caused by too much fuel "blowing" the spark out... :)
thx

us saturn MS2ers had the dwell set far too high in the beginning as well. I believe i have mine set to somewhere around .8 as well.

I'm pretty sure that the spark was being doused by too much fuel, but I didn't get a chance to repeat the circumstances, and pull the plugs and see if they are wet. If it comes down to that, I will though. :)
