i am currently speaking to the supplier of the microsquirt...
here are some datalogs of the bike shutting down, his was just free revving at a standstill, 10 resets and now the bike wont restart.
the bikes charging ok, plenty of fuel, no load,
its a good job my hair is already grey

the problem is tempreture related....
when it gets hot...coolant over 50 0c, the bike starts playing around. its getting worse. so hopefully it will soon stop altogether.
i put a led on my power supply to the ignitor...it stays on when the bike shuts down
i have also done this to both coil signal wires...both ok
i have bypassed the bikes stop circuit, including side stand and clutch relay
i seem to loose my tacho just as it happens, but this gets its signal from the coil. i cant see both of my coils failing at the same time.
and i know that the power supply is constant. i have tested my crank pick up sensor...it is within range.
i have tried to bump start it...the bike starts to fire...but there doesnt seem to be any fuel

You said you refitted the carbies and it was all ok, so that should rule out the stock ignition system.
I'm wondering if the 5V regulator inside the uS is getting hot and shutting down. No other ideas at this stage. If you open up the case can you smell any "burnt" smells?

Looking at the 3 datalogs I notice that in log 01 the TPS and MAP are reading 'normal' but in logs 6 and 10 the MAP seems to be stuck at 2.x instead of 60 to 80. Also the TPS doesn't seem to change much. In log 1 when the reset occurred (at 9800 rpm) the TPS drops to zero and the MAP drops to 26.9 but the IAT and CLT don't change much. Could the external 5v wire be shorting to ground or a bad TPS/MAP be pulling the 5v down?

the map sensor isnt connected, as i am using alpha n.
the throttle isnt moing much as i was just free revving ....not riding the bike

The map signal wire, when not connected, acts like an antenna and carries all sorts of noise. Ground the map signal wire and it should go away.

nope no burnt smells
i have hooked up a volt meter to the 5 volt supply...it doesnt appear to loose its signal

another update.
i have fitted a noise filter, rechecked the wiring again...all ok
the bike started and cut out, the engine turns over,there is a spark....but the megatune tacho doesnt move when i crank the engine. but as soon as i cycle the ignition, the bike restarts.
i have fitted a new zener diode, the opto + wire checks out fine
