Help me do this correctly! Am I correct in thinking it means for me to solder one end of the capacitor onto the Vref line (which goes to Pin #28) and the other end of the capacitor to the Sensor Ground line which goes into Pin #20?If your MicroSquirt has processor resets once installed, hooking up an external capacitor to Vref helps. Anything from 47µFarads up to 1000µF on the Vref to sensor ground return will help.
Also, my electronics background is very limited so the 47uf to 1000uf range suggested for the capacitor leaves me wondering what to use. Is there any reasoning or rule of thumb to apply in the choice of capacitor in this case. My project is a high-reving motorcycle (14500rpm redline) if that makes any difference.
Resets have been my problem all along and I don't know how I've managed to miss this little piece of information up till now, but I did.
Thanks for your help.
