Injectors won't close of priming

Post by Tommy »

On initial power up the pump runs for 2 secs and the injectors open but don't close leading to flooding. I've obviously made some changes to something as they were functioning correctly. Where is a good place to start looking. Can I disable priming?

Inj 1 permenantly on

Post by Tommy »

I seem to have a problem that Inj 1 (pin 9) is constantly firing the injectors. At power on inj 1 gives 12.3 v and doesn't turn off after 2 secs whereas inj 2 gives about 9v, presumably due to the PWM and turns off after 2 secs. When cranking Inj 2 pulses but inj 1 just keeps running all the time. I'm using v3.2.5. Is there some way I can get inj 1 to work correctly? I've tried re-loading the firmware.

This is a problem that has recently arrived. I was running fine previously.
Thanks

Unplug the MicroSquirt and check its resistance from injector outputs to ground. Let me know what you find.

Matt,
Thanks for the response. Since my last post(s) I rewired the injectors so that they all (4) worked off pin 10 and I was really pleased when the engine started and seemed to run OK. However on the second run I found that the same symptom has now afflicted pin 10 and all the injectors are open all the time there is power to the ECU. I tried re-setting to the previous restore point but no luck.
In answer to your question I can measure no resistance between pin 9 or 10 on the microsquirt with the plug removed and ground. I had originally thought there might be a ground on the wiring to the injectors but there is no circuit there either. It makes me wonder whether I have a hardware problem in the microsquirt, if so I need to know what is causing it.
many thanks

Matt,
Brain not engaged due to onset of Christmas! Previous measurements made to vehicle ground which of course is not connected with plug removed! Pin9 to pin 23 =76 ohms pin, 10 to pin 23 =23 ohms.

This sounds like hardware damage. Contact your seller directly to check if it's under warranty.
