bouncing o2

Post by Jamesl »

My car was running fine, but rich, and I was playing with the tuning wizard, changing values in the VE map, and my O2 readings started bouncing around, like from extreme lean to extreme rich. I tried to restore the original VE values, but it didn't stop the bouncing.

What might cause this?

Well aren't I a complete noob!

When I initially set up MT I had the settings wrong for the O2 sensor and the voltage would rise up to about .7 or so and basically stay there. After reading the instructions in MSTweak for getting a good datalog, I changed the settings and it started bouncing around like crazy. Raised my stress level considerably.

The things I don't know about cars would fill a book! (Hmmm, maybe that's why they've written so many of them!)
