Tachometer output - Hall Sensor - MSII V3.0

Post by Ricardo_Penteado »

I´m running MSII V3.0, distributor with Hall sensor, direct coil control with VB921, and I´d like to get a Tachometer output from it.

I´d like to know if I can use this trick suggested by another user here from the forum... If it is possible, where should I connect the PIP point?

Thank you guys for your help!

You can connect your Tach directly to the VB921 or at the coil .

What trick ?

What are you refering to when you say PIP point ?

Ricardo, it appears that 'trick' is a different way to get a tach signal from an EDIS system which uses a PIP signal and does not apply to your setup. I think you are using a single coil with distributor, so you should be able to get your tachometer output from the VB921 or coil's negative terminal as Jim suggests. Hope that helps!
