Can I use fuel cut with my ms1 with edis extra ? I have had a go at setting it but get no fuel cut.
I am not to sure what these settings refer to
Kpa lower than and TPS lower than( raw adc)

Thanks
Keith

Hey Keith -

The fuel cut settings are to be sure you get cut on decel but only at levels that won't cause stalling or false triggering. I set the kPa somewhere between my idle kPa and the lowest Kpa I normally see during typical driving. On the V8 I'm tuning now, it idles at 28 to 30kPa and throttle-closed decel is at or under 20, so I set my 'kPa lower than' to 25. Works well around town and doesn't cut in and out during smaller throttle changes in traffic - although some set it that way.

For the 'TPS lower than' setting, get your closed throttle ADC count by doing a TPS calibration under the Tools/Calibrate TPS heading. On my example truck, I get 27 with my foot off the pedal, so I set it to 30 to be sure it only activates on hard decel, but has a bit of slop factor for the throttle linkage and such.

Thanks for that David.
So the fuel will not cut until the kpa drops to 25 and your throttle is closed?
Does this mean that it will not turn the fuel back on until the kpa goes back up to 25 or the revs drop back to 1500 rpm if I use that as my low rpm

Correct on both questions - assuming you have met the other settings as well. You'll know you've hit fuel cut while driving when the default Injector Pulse Width gauge in MegaTune turns red (0.0ms PW).
