bench test?

Post by KawasakiGuy »

Hello.

New user here, Microsquirt and harness is on route.

I was wondering if there is a recommended procedure to bench test the ECU once I receive it?

My motor is in pieces and I am trying to get all the sensors, filters, pump, etc. together but that may take a while. In the mean time I was wondering if it is recommended to power it up just to be sure it is functional?

Other than following the V3 QuickStart Guide is there anything else I need to have in place?

Thanks.

Bench testing is a nice direction and method to gain seamless first start up and function. The "Jim Stim" testing module allows you to do that very easily without having to connect to every sensor or provide an ignition trigger signal etc. Money well spent, even lends out to friends afterwards
