6 cylinder ignition options

Post by MiikeSnow »

I am searchig for a clear answer about how to use microsquirt for inline 6 engines. I would like to use microsquirt for my M30 BMW turbo project because of its low cost, weather resistant plug and case. I would rather use LS1 style coils because I have 10 or so laying about and not the EDIS6 . I know EFI Source does a modification to the microsquirt to use the led outputs and allow the use on 8cyl engines with ls coils. Can the same modification be used on a inline 6 or would I be better choosing another megasquirt product? Overall, I would like to have coil near plug and use microsquirt for a I6 engine. Thanks for your help !

It's been done but requires MS2/Extra code. See the MicroSquirt hardware manual at MSExtra.com for details.
