No tach signal - MS + DYNA2000 on bike
I am connecting a MicroSquirt V3, along with a DYNA2000 on my Kawasaki Z1 Turbo.
All signals works fine, but i cannot find out how and where to connect MS to get a tach signal.
The DYNA2000 is a Inductive type system. Not a CDI.
The DYNA2000 has separate Tach signals that provides a squared signal with 1 pulse/rev.
This pulse is 1-12volts dep on rev.
The negative wire to each coil is also providing a 12-14volt squared signal.
I tried to connect the DYNA2000 tach signal to OPTION+ pin 30, and OPTION- pin31 to the ground, but i get no tach signal.
Can someone please help me how to proceed, i have found a lot of topics in this forum regarding the same tach signal problem, but i cannot find the answer that helps me.
Best regards
Tobias

Re: No tach signal - MS + DYNA2000 on bike
Initially we had the same issue, no tach response, but on the bench and on the bike we had a signal with an analog gauge.
The fix was the the tach out from my controller to Pin #32 ans jumping ground to Pin #33.

Use yellow tach wire (5V square wave) to pin 30, and pin 31 to earth. Ignition settings - Rising edge, Trigger rise, Trigger wheel teeth = 0. That should cover it.
