Re: Version 2.891 to 3.78 upgrade problem

Have done much the same a "helpful squirter" in that I have been fighting the ignition set up on my Microsquirt with a "2.86" code and decided if I was going to fight this thing I may as well do it with the latest version of the code, so loaded the 3.78 code with S-19 file and the latest "ini" file ...

Re: Weber MPE-750

Hi Matt

Sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner, had to take some time out and go play "hospital", certainly not my favorite game. Have looked over the "TachRef" program and sort of understand it, but the procedures involving the "S19" is over my head. It appears there is a "special" S19 file ...

Re: Weber MPE-750

Re: Weber MPE-750

Hi Matt

Yes, Auto Trigger, that's the one. Would this solve a lot of my headaches with this ignition problem?? What version of code should I try to load ??

Re: Weber MPE-750

Hi Matt

Here's my last MSQ file, have not gotten out to the hangar today to try that "TachRef" program, as it is quite cold today .

Have a question, purchased my Microsquirt from DiyAutotune back in late 2010 (Sept. I think) it shows a 2.886 code embedded, would this version of the Microsquirt ...

Re: Weber MPE-750

Matt

Checked the timing wheel this evening using somewhat of a crude arrangement. Used a makeshift feeler guage and inserted it into the opening where the VR sensor goes, then rotated the crankshaft and got a bit of a suprise----Top Dead Center occures 20 or 22 teeth "AFTER" the missing teeth pass ...

Thanks for the quick response, but now we are in a total new area of testing and nomenclature. Will try to do as you requested, but first must ask some questions :) When you say "take a shot of the screen, do you mean what will be on the laptop screen and then post the picture ? And what is a ...

Re: Weber MPE-750

CurrentTune.msq
Matt,

Here is latest MSG tune. Some progress, just don't know what direction. This is the current wiring on the cam sensor, supply volts,12--sensor ground-- signal to pin #4 on Microsquirt.

If set to crank wheel sensor only, will get easy spark, RPM on tuner studio of about 300 ...

Re: Weber MPE-750

HI Matt

Well today I opened up my wiring harness and "beeped" out all the leads on the cam sensor set up and find one difference than what I posted previously and that is I have the ground from the cam Hall Effect sensor going to "sensor ground" rather than "engine ground" which brings me back to ...
