MSII with EDIS, Timing Fluctuating with SAW disconnected

MSII is setup with EDIS as ignition control on a 1985 Toyota MR2 Turbo. Car starts and run, however timing doesn't hold steady. Tried unhooked the SAW input and timing still jumps around. The VR sensor SAW and PIP signal wires are all shielded. I've replaced both EDIS module and coil pack, still ...

Why not use the wheel decoder with the factory oem 60-2 wheel and the 6 ign outputs for a wasted spark setup. I am also gonna be installing MS on an M70 in the next month or so.

The final log seams to look a lot better. The spikes aren't so severe. I notice your TPS Threshold is 1.5v/s. This might be the problem you are having. You can see on your last log, your TP changes from 0-20% and AE is not even kicking on. I would try and get that value as low as I can without ...

Map dot works great if you have a really large throttle body or itbs. This is due to the fact that mapdot reacts faster than tps dot. If you look the the logs closely you will see that as soon as you hit the trottle, the mapdot reacts quicker than tps dot. This can help reduce lean spikes during AE ...

The negative pulsewidth spike it from your AE turning off. You should try the AE decay feature and set the accel value at end of accel to 0. This should smoothen that out for you. I would try getting the hang of Tps dot first. You should be able to tune it with your setup. Again try increasing the ...

Looking at your log, your pulsewidth spikes everytime your AE in activated. Try making the accel time 1.0 and lower the fuel amount.

Yes, using a wideband will give you steady voltage reading. I've been using the innovate lc-1 for quite some time now. It will make your tuning experience much more plesant. In addition, you can use the AFR table to function as a closeloop and always have the correct afr mixture.

Are you looking at the AFR convertion that MS does or are you looking at the raw voltage? It is normal for the NB voltage to fluctuate a lot. It can only tell you if you are at stoich, rich or lean. It should read .8V+ when you are at WOT and when accelarating. Cruise it should jump around .3-.7V ...
