The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

I have 2 sets of throttle bodies and I'd like to fuel inject both my 1977 goldwing and 1969 karmann ghia. ignition will remain stock on both for now so firing order wont be an issue. is it possible to use the same brain (microsquirt computer) for both vehicles? does microsquirt learn the vehicle each time or is it more it learns and then retains the information.
You could do this but would need to load a separate map for each vehicle. At least that would be the easiest way to go. You *might* be able to size the injectors so the Required Fuel for both of them is the same and use MS2/Extra's VE table switching, but there are several other things that wouldn't switch so this would be a compromise.
I'd say you'd have two project files, and just upload the required project to the MicroSquirt for each respective vehicle. It's unlikely you'd have the same trigger wheel patterns, fuel rates, etc plus the sensors would be calibrated differently etc, so you'd be best to treat them as separate entities.
The MicroSquirt doesn't know anything about its operating environment other than the parameters it is fed, so by its nature it is adaptable, and more than capable of switching between vehicles with a reprogram. This is no different to my experiences using the same unit to run on my GTS1000 or a YZF1000 projects.
