Problem with analog signals

Post by Adriano Custódio »

Hi guys, everything is ok? I'm a new Microsquirter rsr and I have a problem with analog signal in my module. I do comunication, but I don't see the variation in analog signals when I do a test with stim. I checked the vref and there is 5V and I checked the TPS signal and there is a variation between 0 to 5 V on multimeter, but on TunerStudio nothing happens. Please help me solve this problem, I read the manual, but I didnt find nothing. Thanks a lot...

What ADC values do you get at closed and wide open throttle under Tools -> Calibrate TPS?

Hi Matt,

So I tried calibrate the TPS, but it doesn´t work. ADC it seems blocked and didn´t change the value when I movement the potentiometer. The clock gauge it´s normal.
I was thinking and could be problem with noise, I´m using a PC power supply to switch on the microsquirt on the desk. Next thursday is holiday in Brasil and I will test again in my motorcicle. I´m working in S.P and the things are in my parents house in country side.
I'm thinking try switch on microsquirt direct on battery with 13.2 V, the power supply PC have 11.8 V and microsquirt it's reading 11.5V. If doesn't work, I could do a upgrade on code, actually it has a Rev 3.7700 version and I saw in manual that there is a V3.830a.
In your opinion, is there a possibility to have been burned some component? I saw the schematics and all sensor are individual. I don't know why ADC and all analog signals doesn´t work...

If you have some sugestion, please say to me try during the weekend rsr...

Thanks a lot...

What voltage do you have on the TPS signal pin, and what was the exact ADC reading?

Hi Matt,

I tried switch on the microsquirt and there were some differences between ECU and tunerstudio. I did an update on ECU and the signals are working again. I have some problems with microsquirt, I am doing tests with stim, but the things isn't ok. The LED of ignition stay switch on full time. I tried change many codes (2.920; 3.770; 3.830; 3.830a), but doesn't work. The injector test mode doesn't work and block the ECU. After I need flash the s19 file to come back work. I'm trying do this work since wenesday nigh, but this ECU don't like me rsrs. I have a ms2 (aluminium black box) with 2.9 code and work very well. I don't know what to do, I`m reading the manual to try found some ideas. Please if you have some sugest, talk to me... Thanks a lot...

Some firmware issues had a problem with test mode. If it doesn't work on the latest B&G code, try MS2/Extra and see if test mode works there.

How do you have ignition control set up?

Hi Matt,
I did a flash of MS2 extra 3.3.3, and test mode works normally. The problem is the ignition signal, this work all time (same without rpm). I put a picture to you see, the LED stay alight all the time. I will use a single coil Bosch and a trigger whell 36-1. The engine is a yamaha WR 450. I set the configuration to basic trigger to work speed on stim. I had change some configuration, but doesn't work. I changed the microsquirt and the problem is the same, I have two microquirts... Please give me a sugest rs... Thanks...
