Double rpm
Got my 650cc paralell twin i've been converting to injection finally started and somewhat running.
Now the problem.. MicroSquirt is reading double rpm, hence my VE and Spark advance is totally off.
I have no cambshaft sensor, only a 36-1 wheel on the crank and i guess that could be why ...

Re: 36-1 wont detect properly
"Skip teeth" was set to 0, hence no spark

36-1 wont detect properly
Just replaced my hall sensor with a VR one and wired it up. Old sensor refused to work over 1500 rpm, but engine did start.
Now i dont get any spark. Checked on the scope and it looks OK (but reverse on this pic), tried swapping the cables but no luck on spark.

Crazy Spark advance
Been playing with the Spark Advance generator but keep getting very weird values.
Engine is a parallel twin, 644cc. have it running decent on idle now but with a fixed advance of 15 degrees "all over".
The generated table looks like this... max advance is 82 degrees!!! Would most likely ...

Re: Secondary coil output
Great, then ill use one of them instead.
Do they need a flyback diode over the relay coil for protection or is that built into the driver?
Relay would be an ...

Secondary coil output
Just about ready to test run my project but wondering if it would be OK to drive a relay from the secondary coil driver for a coolant fan.
Seems to me it would be like any other current sinking driver, but wanted to ask first since it would work much longer cycles this way.
Engine is a 2 ...

Re: Idle motor
It's a DC motor using only two pins. No feedback or anything. When i apply voltage to 2 of the pins the actuator raises and open the throttle a bit, when i reverse polarity the motor goes back to home position and close the throttle again.
If i leave ...

Idle motor
I am converting a 650cc twin 4 stroke and got my hands on a trottle house from a BMW K1100. I will use only two of the body's of course. Now im stuck regarding the idle motor. It's a Bosch with part no 0 132 008 600.
Done a lot of search on google and such, but cant find any schematic or ...

Re: Parallel twin
Just what i wanted to hear.
Then i'll get rid of that ugly distributor with shaft and everything... will save both weight and looks.

Parallel twin
I'am new to this forum and MicroSquirt.
I just started a project to squirt a parallel twin 650. It's a license built Isuzu from what i'm told.
It sits in a Kinroad 650GK-2 buggy, carbed and pretty dull right now, only about 18bhp.
Right now im planning what i need in sensors. I have a ...
