I find repairing SMT stuff is often easier and quicker than through hole ... But you need good eyesight or a magnifier. Also, some of the codes and such on SM stuff are a bit cryptic, and therefore painful to work with. But anything SMT I have built looks shoddy compared with the same thing built by a machine!

I like Scotts idea - I put a standard V3.0 board in an Ford eec -4 case and it was a pain.

Hopefully B&G can deliver a fully built unit without the connector I can use for the "Microsquirt inside" adaptor board. If I get one soon enough I'll bring a completed unit and a few adaptors to Brisbane the next time I'm out, probably the first of the year. I'll take the drive to Toowoomba and you can try it out on the 'Wagon.
