Re: wasted spark injection timing angle

Thank you for your fast reply and sorry for my late response. Shortly after I posted I went ahead and tried a number between 0-360 and it worked out great. The engine fires right up. Thank you for your help!

wasted spark injection timing angle

Hello all,

I have a single cylinder with a missing tooth crank trigger wheel. I am using autotrigger mode.

I have a quick question about injection timing angle. Since I am using wasted spark with a missing tooth crank wheel should this value be between 0-360 degrees?? or is the microsquirt capable ...

Re: No Spark

Cool thanks. Ya having external isnt a problem at all. I have a brand new engine that has never been run before and it was just frustrating to have it turning over and over without firing because I didnt know the v3 didnt have the drivers on board. Re: No Spark

Well I wired up my old bip373 and got spark. Would have been nice to know that the v3 does not have the coil drivers. Why does it not have the drivers?

Re: No Spark

I just cracked open the case and I do not see any coil drivers in it. Does the V3 board not come with the BIP373?!??!

If that is the case then I just found my problem.

Re: No Spark

So using the IGN-1 from diyautotune im still not getting spark. From the v3 Microsquirt im running IGN1 to the center pin, giving it 12v, and grounding it to the engine. Still no spark at all. I have no idea whats going on.

Re: No Spark

Ok after looking at the website for the quad it shows that the ignition system is CDI. And I guess the part that confused me was that there is no CDI module on the quad it self. Its all controlled by the ECU on the quad.

I will just try to wire up our old inductive coil from DIY that we ran last ...

Re: No Spark

In the manual it says the ignition system is a transistorized ignition. The coil has a positive and negative. I have the battery hooked up to coil on the positive side and I have Ign 1 going to the negative side of the coil.

No Spark

Hey all,

I can not figure out why I am not getting a spark. Here is my situation

So last year we ran a KTM 560 single cyl controlling fuel and ignition and it worked great. That setup was a running a v2.2 Microsquirt module with a BIP373 controlling a diyautotune IGN-1 coil. This year we are ...

Reflashed the ECU and it fired right up
